David W. Phaneuf, Pastor

Pastor Phaneuf is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, completing 30 years of ministry, the last two of which have been shared with the congregation of Faith Church in Batavia. He is a native of Cincinnati, having grown up in Deer Park, where he graduated from high school in 1973.  He received his Bachelor's degree from Oral Roberts University,in the areas of Old Testament Literature and Religious Education, and holds a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He began his ministry as a student associate pastor at Oak Hills UMC on the west-side of Cincinnati. Throughout his ministry, he has served churches in Lockington, Brookville, Zanesville, Springfield, Johnstown, and Belpre, Ohio.  He is married to Bonnie, and together they have three children: Sara (who lives in Columbus, Ohio), Lindsay, and Evan.  In his spare time, the pastor enjoys playing golf and working on his hobby, Old Time Radio.

JEANNE & PETER WEIGLIN - Lay Leaders   Jeanne has served as Faith United Methodist Women's Group President and is instrumental in helping our church grow.  Peter Weiglin (Certified District Lay Leader) and Jeanne have traveled throughout Ohio bringing the 'Good News' of Jesus the Christ to all who opens their hearts and minds to listen.   

ROSE ANN SARGENT, Master Organist
Dedicated, long-time resident of Batavia and member of the Faith United Methodist Church, with years of experience playing various organs throughout history of Batavia Faith UMC.  Rose Ann is a gifted musical artist that continuously practices to be the best!  She enjoys playing single or with accompaniment of pianists.  She brings life and light to every service! 

TARA ZARTMAN, Chancel Choir Director, Soloist, Pianist
Gifted Chancel Choir Director, musical artist and songstress.  Makes piano sing and her voice radiates life and light! 

WILMA MARUGG: Accomplished Concert Pianist and former Music Teacher often adds renewed life and spirit to our services through Special Music selections

STEVE STATON - Church Treasurer
Steve has both educational and financial experience to take on the challenges of this often demanding and critical chuch position. He takes over for Carl Ungethuem who held the position for 18 years.

MAGGIE RAABE, Chair of Worship Committee
Dedicated Christian always ready to share her faith in Jesus and her love for everyone!  Maggie is the Chair of the Worship Committe, dedicated to helping Faith family reach out and grow with the community 

LINDA BARNHILL - UM Women's Group President
Linda is a former school teacher that brings many years of experience to the table all the while brightening everyone and their day with her glowing smile
